Test the Love of the Lord
🌟 Ephesians 5:10 – Test the Love of the Lord 🌟
"Find out what pleases the Lord." (NIV)
We are not called to live life based on feelings or traditions — but to live in a way that pleases God.
Let’s explore what true love for the Lord looks like, based on His Word. 💖
🧭 1. The Way of the Good Man is Loved by God
📖 Proverbs 16:7 – “When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.”
A righteous path attracts the favor of the Lord. When we walk in obedience, humility, and faithfulness, our very lifestyle becomes a sweet aroma to God.
The Lord doesn’t just watch our deeds — He rejoices in them when they align with His will. 🙏
🎯 2. To Do the Will of God is to Love God
📖 Matthew 7:21 – “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”
💡 Doing God’s will is not optional — it’s the very expression of love.
🕊️ Romans 12:2 tells us to discern His perfect will and offer our lives as living sacrifices.
We should pray daily:
“Lord, what is Your will for me today? Let my choices reflect Your heart.”
✅ 3. Those Who Walk in Truth are the Lord’s Delight📖 Psalm 51:6 – “Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts.”
📖 John 4:24 – “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
🧎♂️ Daniel is a great example — he was faithful in prayer and worship even when threatened.
📌 He prayed three times a day, not just when he had needs — but because he had a relationship with the Lord.
True love is shown when we pray, worship, serve, and give with sincerity.
🌱 4. Breeding (Raising the Next Generation) in the Fear of the Lord
📖 Proverbs 22:6 – “Train up a child in the way he should go...”
The Lord delights in homes where parents raise their children with the Word of God as the foundation.
Your home becomes a mini church, and your children become arrows in the Lord's hand 🏹.
Let every family decision — school, relationships, values — be guided by God's Word.
💼 5. Those Who Work for the Kingdom are Loved by God
📖 1 Corinthians 15:58 – “Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord...”
Those who evangelize, support missionaries, teach children in Sunday School, or simply share the gospel — are working in the heart of God’s mission.
Every effort done for the sake of the Gospel, no matter how small, is deeply loved and remembered by the Lord.
🙌 “Even a cup of cold water in My name will not go unrewarded.” – Matthew 10:42
🔁 6. The One Who Turns Back from Sin Pleases the Lord
📖 Ezekiel 33:11 – “I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live.”
Repentance = Real Love ❤️
Like the prodigal son, the Lord rejoices when a soul returns to Him.
He’s not angry with you — He’s waiting for you with open arms! 🙌
🙇♀️ 7. Those Who Submit to God Are Loved by Him
📖 James 4:7 – “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
📌 Submission is surrendering control — “Not my will, but Yours be done.”
This delights the Lord more than rituals, promises, or performance. He seeks a heart that says, “Yes, Lord.”
💖 Final Thoughts
Ephesians 5:10 calls us to examine our lives regularly:
Are my choices pleasing to God?
Am I loving God with my actions and attitude, or just my words?
Let’s ask the Lord each day:
🧎♀️ “Lord, help me to walk in ways that bring You joy.”
May we live not to be popular or successful in the eyes of men, but to please the heart of our Heavenly Father.
✨ Let’s live as a pleasing fragrance before God. ✨
📖 “For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved.” – 2 Corinthians 2:15
