The Power of Our Lord
🌿 The Power of Our Lord – Luke 3:8
"Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham." — Luke 3:8 (NIV)
Many of us keep God's Word in our mind. Some even carry it in their heart. But God calls us to take it further — to live it out and demonstrate His power through our lives. ⚡
💡 1. Prove That the Lord Is Powerful
Too often, when we face storms, doubts arise and fear takes over. But the truth is:
“The God we worship is powerful to deliver us.” 🙌
Just like:
-
Daniel in the lion’s den 🦁
-
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace 🔥
— they didn't bow, they didn't bend, and they weren't burned. Because they believed God was able.
Let us not just admire God in words, but prove His power in action when trials arise.
📜 2. God’s Promises Are Alive
"Not one of all the Lord’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled." – Joshua 21:45
There are 7 divine truths about what God will do for us — rooted in His promises:
✅ 1. He Fulfills His Promises
God's promises are not empty words. They are living, active, and unshakable.
💬 Romans 4:18-21 – Abraham believed even when there was no reason to hope.
He waited 25 years, trusting God’s promise of a son.
To receive His promise, we must:
-
Believe and seek His presence daily 🛐
-
Do our part faithfully 🛠️
-
Be patient and strong in faith 💪
🛡️ 2. He Protects Our Souls
Even when people rise against us or speak evil, God is our defender:
🕊️ Exodus 14:14 — “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
Let’s not take revenge or worry:
-
Give the matter into God's hands 🙌
-
Speak truth, but let God be the Judge ⚖️
-
Walk away from bitterness, and walk toward peace
🌈 3. He Does the Impossible
Ephesians 3:20 – “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think…”
God gave Abraham descendants as numerous as the stars 🌟 when he couldn’t even have one child. Just imagine what He can do for us!
But we must:
-
Ask (James 4:2 – “You do not have because you do not ask God”) 🙏
-
Listen (Psalm 85:8 – “I will listen to what God the Lord says…”)
-
Believe, because prayer opens doors the world can’t shut 🚪
🧭 Final Reflection:
God is able to:
-
Fulfill every promise 📝
-
Guard our souls 🛡️
-
Do the impossible 💥
Let us live boldly, proving through our lives that the Lord is powerful, just as His Word says.
🙏 Prayer of the Day:
“Father, help me not just to know You in my mind, or feel You in my heart — but to walk in a way that proves Your greatness. Let my life be a testimony of Your power, promises, and protection. I surrender my worries, my timing, and my plans into Your hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
