As believers, our greatest aim should be to please the Lord—not through routine or religion, but through a relationship rooted in obedience and surrender. 💖

The Christian life isn’t just about knowing what is right; it’s about testing and doing what is pleasing to God.

📖 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” – Matthew 7:21

🙌 What is God’s Will?

Understanding God’s will helps us walk in alignment, experience His presence, and be prepared for His return. Let’s explore 4 key areas of God’s will for every believer.

✨ 1. God's Will: That His Kingdom Come on Earth

📖 “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” – Matthew 6:10

If God’s will is done in heaven with praise and obedience, then we should reflect the same on earth.

✅ Let His praise continually be on our lips (Psalm 34:1)
✅ Worship Him in spirit and truth (John 4:24)
✅ Do everything with a heart full of gratitude and reverence

🔁 Replace complaining with thanksgiving
🗣️ Let your speech glorify the Lord

✝️ 2. God’s Will: That All Should Be Saved

📖 “[God] is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” – 2 Peter 3:9

God desires every soul to be saved! 💔 So, what’s our role?

🔥 Preach the Gospel – in word, love, and action
📖 Share His Word boldly (Romans 1:16)
💬 Be ready to share the hope within you (1 Peter 3:15)

Evangelism is not just for preachers—it’s a lifestyle. 💡
Are we walking and talking in a way that leads others to Christ?

🕊️ 3. God’s Will: That We Be Holy

📖 “For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality.” – 1 Thessalonians 4:3
📖 “God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life.” – 1 Thessalonians 4:7

Holiness is not perfection, but separation—a life set apart for God.

✅ Fight sin through prayer and discipline
✅ Ask for grace daily to walk in purity
✅ Flee from what contaminates body and soul (2 Corinthians 7:1)

📖 “Be holy, for I am holy.” – 1 Peter 1:16
Let’s not settle for being “better than others”—let’s strive to be like Christ. ✨

🌅 4. God’s Will: That We Be Raised in the Last Day

📖 “And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that I shall lose none of all those He has given Me, but raise them up at the last day.” – John 6:39

For this, we must prepare ourselves for Christ’s return.
✅ Participate regularly in worship and communion
📖 “For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes.” – 1 Corinthians 11:26
✅ Approach His Table with fear, reverence, and self-examination

📖 “Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup.” – 1 Corinthians 11:28

🔥 Living to Please the Lord

To live a life that pleases God, we must:

📍 Pray before every decision – “Lord, if it is Your will…”
📍 Surrender your will on the cross daily – “Not my will, but Yours be done” (Luke 22:42)
📍 Delight in His Word – “Your word is a lamp to my feet” (Psalm 119:105)
📍 Seek strength through the Spirit – “Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16)

  1. Am I truly seeking what pleases the Lord in my life?

  2. Do I pray before making big and small decisions?

  3. Am I fulfilling God's known will in the areas of purity, prayer, and proclaiming the gospel?

  4. Have I examined my life before partaking in holy communion?

🙏 Closing Prayer

Dear Lord, help me to know and do Your will. Let me not walk in my own understanding, but in Your divine wisdom. Teach me to live a life that is holy, pleasing, and fully surrendered. May I never be satisfied with just believing—but let me also live it out in truth, love, and obedience. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙌
