2025: The Year of Divine Victory – The Lord Will Fight for You
2025 Promise Word of the Year: Exodus 14:14
"The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace."
As we step into 2025, God reassures us with His promise to not only fight our battles but also grant us victory. While wars in ancient times were fought with weapons, our modern struggles are spiritual. We wrestle against forces of darkness, as reminded in Ephesians 6:12:
"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."
Victory in these battles is certain when we align ourselves with God's will and follow the principles He has set before us. Here are seven conditions that, when followed, allow us to experience this divine victory:
1. Seek God
2 Chronicles 20:3
"And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah."
King Jehoshaphat sought God in times of war, choosing divine alliance over human alliances. This reliance on God resulted in victory. Are we truly seeking God in every area of our lives, or are we placing our trust in worldly solutions?
2. Declare and Report God's Promises
2 Chronicles 20:7
"Are You not our God, who drove out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel, and gave it to the descendants of Abraham Your friend forever?"
Remind God of His promises, not because He forgets, but as an act of faith and declaration of trust. By recalling His promises in prayer, we affirm our belief that what He has said will come to pass.
3. Pray Together with Family
2 Chronicles 20:13
"Meanwhile all Judah stood before the LORD, with their little ones, their wives, and their children."
Victory often begins with unity in prayer. Are we standing together as families before the Lord, interceding and trusting Him for His intervention? When families come together in faith, God moves mightily.
4. Wait Patiently
Psalms 40:1
"I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry."
Jehoshaphat waited patiently for God's instructions during the battle, demonstrating trust in God's timing. When we wait on the Lord instead of rushing ahead, we invite His perfect plan to unfold.
5. Obey His Words
2 Chronicles 20:16
"Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel."
Obedience to God's specific instructions led to victory for Jehoshaphat. When we trust and follow God's guidance, no matter how unconventional it may seem, we position ourselves for success.
6. Be Humble
Jehoshaphat, though a king, humbled himself before God. Humility is key to receiving God's favor and experiencing His mighty hand in our lives. As the Bible reminds us,
"God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble." (James 4:6)
7. Praise the Lord
Victory is assured when we offer praise to God, even before the battle is won. Jehoshaphat appointed singers to praise God ahead of his army, and God fought the battle on their behalf. Let us cultivate a heart of gratitude and worship in every season.
Conclusion
This year, take hold of God's promise: He will fight for you, and you will hold your peace. The Lord assures us that as we seek Him, declare His promises, pray together, wait patiently, obey His words, walk in humility, and praise Him, victory is guaranteed.
Let 2025 be a year where we see the hand of God move mightily in our lives, granting us triumph in every challenge we face.
God bless you and lead you into a victorious year ahead!
