Faith is not just a belief; it is the assurance of things hoped for, the certainty of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). It’s a powerful and transformative force that leads us to righteousness, enabling us to live in alignment with God's will, even when we cannot see the outcome.

Faith that Leads to Righteousness

  • Believing the Word is Faith
    True faith begins by trusting God’s Word. It is through the Scriptures that we come to know God's will and purpose for our lives.

    Romans 10:17
    "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God."

  • Obedience to Commandments is Loyalty
    Faith is demonstrated through obedience to God’s commands. A loyal servant listens to his master and follows through with his instructions, even when it’s not easy.

    John 14:15
    "If you love me, keep my commandments."

  • Faith is Living Up to Promises
    To have faith is to live according to the promises God has given us. Trusting God’s faithfulness means walking in confidence, knowing He will fulfill His word.

  • Ignoring the Spirit of the Age is Faith
    Faith requires us to reject the influence of worldly thinking and cling to God's truth, even when society around us says otherwise.

    Romans 12:2
    "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."

  • Faith is Seeking a Heavenly Home
    True faith is forward-looking, anticipating the eternal life that God has prepared for us. It sets our sights on our heavenly home, not on temporary earthly gains.

    Philippians 3:20
    "But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ."

  • Faith is Steadfastness in Trials
    When we face challenges, faith is what sustains us. It's not the absence of trials but the strength to endure them, knowing God is with us.

    James 1:3-4
    "Because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."

  • Faith Blesses the Next Generation
    Faith is not just for us; it has a ripple effect that can bless generations to come. Through our example and trust in God, we set the foundation for future generations to walk in faith.

    2 Timothy 1:5
    "I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also."

  • Faith is a Complete Abhorrence of Sin
    Faith causes us to turn away from sin and its destructive passions, pursuing holiness instead. True faith leads to repentance and a life free from the grip of sin.

    Romans 6:12-14
    "Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God..."

  • Faith is the Experience of Singing for God
    When we have faith, we can’t help but rejoice in God’s goodness. Our hearts overflow with praise and worship, regardless of circumstances.

    Psalm 28:7
    "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him."

The Lord Gives Salvation as a Gift of Grace

Salvation is a gift that can only be received through faith. It’s not something we can earn or achieve on our own, but it is a free gift from God’s grace, granted to us because of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice.

Ephesians 2:8-9
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."

What Kind of Believers Are We?

The Little Believers:

  1. Those Who Fear – Fear is a sign of little faith. We are told that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Fear comes from the enemy, but faith removes it.

    2 Timothy 1:7
    "For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control."

  2. Those Who Worry – Worrying is another indication of little faith. Jesus teaches us not to be anxious about our lives—what we will eat, drink, or wear—but to seek first His kingdom, and all these things will be added to us.

    Matthew 6:25-26
    "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life...Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them."

  3. Those Who Doubt – Doubt is a sign of little faith. We are called to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and trust that He is in control, no matter the circumstances.

    Matthew 14:31
    "Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. 'You of little faith,' he said, 'why did you doubt?'"

  4. Those Who Do Not Reflect on the Past – A lack of remembrance of God’s past faithfulness is another sign of little faith. When we look back at the miracles and wonders God has performed in our lives, it strengthens our faith to trust Him for the future.

    Psalm 77:11-12
    "I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds."

Amazing Faith

God is calling us to a faith that is more than just belief; He is calling us to a faith that moves mountains. A faith that, though small like a mustard seed, can accomplish great things.

Matthew 17:20
"He replied, 'Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.'"

God desires to strengthen our faith, remove our doubts, and help us experience the miracles we are expecting. Let’s trust in Him fully, for He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think.

Ephesians 3:20
"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us..."
